Disneyland’s ‘Star Wars’ Cantina Will Feature The Park’s First-Ever Boozy Drinks

Disneyland next Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge will feature a scoop for the Anaheim theme park: Alcohol for sale to the general public.

On Thursday, the company released details of the Oga Cantina, which will serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages "delivered through a customized themed dispensing system with special effects." Along with the cocktails and drinks suitable for children, the location will also offer patented beer and wine.

Disney's Imagineer Scott Trowbridge set the scene in a blog post:

"Directed by an intriguing foreign owner, Oga Garra, the canteen adheres to a strict code of conduct that tries to keep its uncontrolled customers at bay, but with a history of being a safe haven for smugglers and a point of popular stop for those who seek to avoid the authorities, you can bet that the canteen has a story or two to tell ".

The company also launched the concept art that shows the canteen in action:

Trowbridge said RX-24 a droid that appeared in the first version of the Star Tours trip, will serve as a DJ for the canteen.

"As peculiar and communicative as ever, he is still trying to do his best at work," said Trowbridge.

Paul Reubens also known as Pee Wee Herman, provided the voice of the droid in both the original Star Tours and the animated series "Star Wars Rebels". It is not clear if he will return to the role of the canteen.

While alcoholic beverages have been available at Club 33 exclusively for members, they were never sold to the general public at the park itself.

"This is not the first park where Disney has provided adult beverages, in a controlled and safe environment," Ken Whiting board member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, he said in a statement provided by Disney. "Disney fans will love the alignment with the story of & # 39; Star Wars & # 39; and their creative experience with themes"

In fact, alcohol is served at most of Disney's other theme parks, including Disney California Adventure, which is adjacent to Disneyland, as well as its Florida theme parks, including Disney's Hollywood Studios, where a Double version of Galaxy's Edge is under construction.

Along with the canteen, Galaxy's Edge will feature two main attractions, food and food, and of course, a lot of merchandise.

The location in Anaheim is expected to open next summer while the Florida one is ready to receive guests in the late fall of 2019. Disney also has a "War of the Galaxies "- theme hotel planned for Florida.
